Save the Children Uganda Country Office is looking to recruit a person on a National Contract for the following position:
Role Purpose:
The nurse will work to contribute to an improvement in the overall health of the targeted community through the provision of quality nursing care. The nurse will work collaboratively with the health team; Ministry of Health staff and partners to meet the needs of patients, promote healthy behaviours, strengthen health systems and increase local capacity. The role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.
Contract Duration: Open
Contractual Status: National. This job is open to nationals only.
Location: Yumbe
Qualification and Experience;
- Registered nurse with relevant professional experience
- Previous experience of working a role with MoH or NGO desirable
- Excellent understanding of broad health issues within community
- Strong understanding of community, culture and customs
- Good understanding of local humanitarian context
