Save the Children Uganda Country Office is looking to recruit persons on a National Contract for the following positions: Job Title: Senior Officer AD (1 position) Contract Duration: Fixed term (12 months) Location: Wakiso Contractual Status: National posting

Level 3: The post holder will have contact with children and/or young people frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they support the country programs and are/or visiting country programs. Role Purpose:

This position reports to the Sponsorship Programme Manager. The job holder is primarily responsible for planning and ensuring quality and timely implementation of the Adolescent Development (AD) core program (with Very Young Adolescent Programme components) within the designated sub counties. S/he is expected to implement the AD program in a manner that promotes integration with other core programs of Sponsorship and cross cutting themes such as gender, disability, child Protection and rights programming.

Academic back ground, Experience & Person Specifications;-Minimum of Bachelors degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Education or health- related discipline

-At least 3 years working experience in planning and implementing Adolescent Development (AD) or Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health (ASRH) programmes.

-Experience of riding an XL Motorcycle shall be an added advantage.

-Experience of working with the Local Government, local partners and training in either Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health (ASRH) with a focus on promoting adolescent friendly service delivery in the communities.

-Experience of working with local partners and District Local Government in Child Rights Governance, Health, Nutrition, Education, HIV/AIDS or Child Protection is an added advantage.
