Save the Children Uganda Country Office is looking to recruit persons on a National Contract for the following positions: Job Title: Project Officer -ALP (2 position)

Contract Duration: Fixed term (12 months)

Location: Kiryandongo & Adjuman

Contractual Status: National posting

Level 3: The post holder will have contact with children and/or young people frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they support the country programs and are/or visiting country programs.Role Purpose:

This position reports to the Senior Officer -ALP The job holder shall be providing ongoing technical support of the ALP programms and implementation partners in project planning, implementation, monitoring & evaluation and reporting ALP activities in the western region.

Academic back ground, Experience & Person Specifications;

  • A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in social sciences and humanities, social administration, education with accrued experience in a related field, with skills and experience in community mobilization, project planning, management monitoring and evaluation.

  • At least 3 years progressive experience in community development world

  • Experience of working with local partners and District Local Government in Health, Education, HIV/AIDS or Child Protection program delivery

  • Ability to speak local language and directly interact with target group will be an added advantage

  • Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international work environment.
