Save the Children Uganda Country Office is looking to recruit persons on a National Contract for the following positions: Job Title: Project Officer -ALP (2 position)
Contract Duration: Fixed term (12 months)
Location: Kiryandongo & Adjuman
Contractual Status: National posting
Level 3: The post holder will have contact with children and/or young people frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they support the country programs and are/or visiting country programs.Role Purpose:
This position reports to the Senior Officer -ALP The job holder shall be providing ongoing technical support of the ALP programms and implementation partners in project planning, implementation, monitoring & evaluation and reporting ALP activities in the western region.
Academic back ground, Experience & Person Specifications;
A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in social sciences and humanities, social administration, education with accrued experience in a related field, with skills and experience in community mobilization, project planning, management monitoring and evaluation.
At least 3 years progressive experience in community development world
Experience of working with local partners and District Local Government in Health, Education, HIV/AIDS or Child Protection program delivery
Ability to speak local language and directly interact with target group will be an added advantage
Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international work environment.
