KELELE AFRICA, WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO
Kelele Africa is a non profit organization established in 2012 that promotes development projects in Kabarole district (Uganda). Among the projects that we have, we have built our own school (Kumwenya School) that is changing the lives of children in our community.
JOB TITLE: Art, Drama and Music teachers for all of Primary or Elementary Level (Volunteer)
LOCATION: Kimya - Uganda
TYPE OF ASSIGNMENT: International Development Volunteer
DURATION: Contract of one year running from February until the end of November 2020
EXPECTED STARTING DATE: February 1st 2020
JOB BRIEF: We need Art, Drama and Music teachers for all of Primary or Elementary Level. You will be teaching children between the ages of 6 and 14 in a small rural school in Uganda which focuses on the development of creativity through the arts.
REQUIREMENTS
Art teacher certification with at least one year experience teaching in schools.
Drama teacher is required to have taught children for at least one year and directed some plays with large groups.
Music teacher will have to instruct children on how to play instruments and sing, as well as teaching them basic music theory. If familiar with african instruments all the best. Minimum one year experience teaching.
Good english speaking level is a priority.
