Rwanda: High-Impact Communications Roles Worldwide - Global Health Corps

Global Health Corps (GHC) is a leadership development organization focused on building the next generation of diverse, disruptive global health leaders. Founded in 2009, we competitively recruit talented professionals (ages 21-30) from a range of sectors and backgrounds and place them in high-impact roles within partner organizations -- including Clinton Health Access Initiative, Partners in Health, Planned Parenthood Global, and Government Ministries in Zambia, Rwanda, and Uganda -- working on the front lines of health equity in Malawi, Rwanda, Uganda, the US, and Zambia. GHC is seeking fellows from a wide range of backgrounds, geographies, and expertise. Through a one-year paid fellowship program, fellows provide the expertise and leadership potential needed to fill capacity gaps in global health. Applications are open until February 2, 2016. Jobs for the 2016-2017 fellowship year run from June 2016 to July 2017.

Communications expertise is in high demand in the global health field and critical to ensuring progress. Capturing and telling meaningful stories, publishing compelling content for donors and the public, and enabling the dissemination of key research or policy information can make all the difference.

Global Health Corps (GHC) is seeking creative, accomplished, and visionary communications professionals who are also dynamic rising young leaders to join the global health equity movement. We are currently recruiting for our 2016-2017 class of fellows with a range of high impact communications jobs available, including:

• R09-USA, Communications Officer, Health Poverty Action, Rwanda

• G15-USA, Communications and Partnership Officer, Reach Out Mbuya Parish HIV/AIDS Initiative, Uganda

• US03-USA, Health Equity Communications Fellow, Boston Public Health Commission, United States

• Z08-USA, Advocacy and Communications Officer, PATH, Zambia

Fellows receive the following benefits:

• Monthly living stipend

• Housing

• Utilities stipend

• A professional development grant of $600

• A completion award of $1500

• Access to a roster of professional advisors that fellows can connect with for support on their fellowship work and graduate school or career advising

• Five multi-day trainings and retreats throughout the year, including a two-week Training Institute at Yale University in the United states to launch the fellowship, and a five-day End of Year retreat in East Africa to close out the fellowship

• Travel to and from placement site and all trainings and retreats

• Professional development and personal support from a dedicated in-country program

• Personal development and accompaniment program led by Still Harbor
