In Uganda, we implement programmes in five thematic programme areas of Child Protection, Child Rights Governance, Education, Child Poverty, Health and Nutrition in Development and Emergency contexts. Save the Children delivers programs in over 36 districts in the North, Rwenzori, North-Eastern, West Nile and Central regions of Uganda. We save children's lives. We fight for their rights. We help them fulfil their potential.
Role Purpose:

Provides award management system support and oversight throughout the life cycle of an award (opportunity stage to close out). Works with other staff to effectively support program quality, and accountability to all stakeholders.

Contract Duration: Open ended

Contractual Status: National

Location: Kampala

Qualification and Experience;Essential

  • A minimum of a Bachelors' Degree in Business Administration or finance management or professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA etc. or the equivalent accrued working experience in a related position.
  • At least 2 years' experience with International NGO's particularly those addressing human/children's rights and those applying partnership approaches is desirable
  • Experience working with international donors such the UN, ECHO, European commission and compliance requirements Desirable

  • Strong analytical skills and strategic planning abilities. Computer literacy and excellent documentation skills are a must.

  • Ability to establish and maintain conducive collegial relations and perform effectively as a member of a team.

  • Availability and willingness to work extra hours during times of humanitarian responses.

  • Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including influencing, negotiation and coaching

  • Excellent time management and planning capacity.
