Senior Project Management Specialist, USAID/Uganda Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Contract, Uganda

Proposal Objective:
Social Impact is preparing a proposal response for the anticipated multi-million-dollar, five-year Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Contract in Uganda. The purpose of the Contract is to strengthen the performance of USAID/Uganda and its Implementing Partners (IPs) in collaborating, learning and adapting to improve the relevance, quality and sustainability of USAID-supported contributions to Uganda’s development.
Position Description:
SI is seeking a Senior Project Management Specialist to oversee a team of five (5) project management assistants providing administrative support to USAID/Uganda and train, coach, and mentor USAID/Uganda staff. S/he will be based in Uganda and work to support the mission and the five Social Science Advisors throughout the duration of the contract.
Responsibilities:
· Supervise, guide and continuously train, coach and mentor the five (5) Project Management Assistants.
· Support USAID/Uganda in continuously training, coaching and mentoring/setting up mentorship arrangements for its project managers.
· Support USAID/Uganda adaptive management efforts.
· Assume other tasks that to strengthen USAID/Uganda’s project/activity management performance
Qualifications:
· At least a Bachelor’s degree in business, social science, development studies or a related field.
· At least ten years of experience in project or program management of donor-funded development projects. Experience with USAID-funded projects is highly preferred.
· Demonstrated experience supervising, coaching and/or mentoring staff.
· Familiarity with USAID compliance rules and regulations.
· Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills. English is required.
