We help them fulfil their potential. Role Purpose:

The job holder is primarily responsible for planning and ensuring quality and timely implementation of the School Health and Nutrition (SHN) core program within the designated sub counties. S/he is expected to implement the SHN program in a manner that promotes integration with other core programs of Sponsorship and cross cutting themes such as gender, disability, child Protection and rights programming. The Job Holder also implements the SHN program in collaboration with Sub county stakeholders and ensure meaningful active participation of Children. The post holder may be called upon as and when necessary to support the emergency team in cases of humanitarian crisisContract Duration: Open ended

Qualification and Experience;Essential

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or higher in a health related discipline. Post graduate training in either public health, Health Systems Strengthening, Community Health, Reproductive Health, Gender etc. will be of added advantage.

  • At least 3 years progressive experience in planning and implementation of school-based health and nutrition programmes.

  • Ability to speak the local language Luganda fluently is a strong requirement.

  • Ability to ride a motorcycle (Honda XL 125).The candidate must be having a valid riding permit and willing to ride a motorcycle.

Desirable

  • Demonstrable financial, planning and budget management skills a MUST.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of international and local policies and frameworks relating to their thematic area is a must.
