Save the Children Uganda Country Office is looking to recruit persons on a National Contract for the following position: Job Title: Clinical Officers (4 positions)

Contract Duration: Fixed term (12 months)

Location: Arua (Omugo Settlement), West Nile Region

Contractual Status: National posting

Level 3: The post holder will have contact with children and/or young people frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they support the country programs and are/or visiting country programs.Role Purpose:

The job holder shall ensure quality implementation of the health programme. This includes conducting clinical diagnosis and treatment of patients in line with the international guidelines as well as the Ugandan treatment guidelines

Academic back ground, Experience & Person Specifications;

  • Diploma in clinical medicine and community health and registered with Uganda Paramedical council

  • Previous experience of working in role with mobile teams and NGO is preferred

  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work in multi-cultural environment

  • Computer literate with good knowledge of relevant medical databases

  • Concern for the wellbeing of children and interest in Child Rights
