Doctors with Africa CUAMM is the first NGO in the healthcare area officially recognized in Italy. Founded in 1950 with the aim of training doctors to work in developing countries, actually CUAMM is working in Angola, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda implementing healthcare projects in partnership with local governments and institutions.

JOB TITLE Public Health expert – Project Manager

JOB LOCATION Uganda, Oyam district

START DATE June-July 2017

DURATION 6-12 months

REQUIREMENTS

  • University Degree in Medicine and Surgery, Nursing, Health Sciences with further specialisation, Master or equivalent title in Public Health and Hygiene
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English
  • Previous experience of Public Health in Developing Countries
  • Previous experience in managing health cooperation projects

KEY DUTIES
The Project Manager will be responsible of the overall coordination and implementation of project activities.
As Public Health expert, he/she will:

  • provide technical assistance to the Medical Director of Aber hospital in order to improve the quality of services and data collection and analysis
  • provide technical assistance to district health authorities in planning and management of health services
  • collaborate in monitoring and evaluation of health services
  • contribute to referral system harmonization and strengthening
  • perform supervision activities to health facilities in the area
  • strengthen the dialogue with the community

The NGO does not cover travel expenses for selection
