YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE TO ENDING WORLD HUNGER BY . . .

developing nutrition and health programs, coordinating effective technical program implementation and playing an active role in Action Against Hunger strategic engagement with the working groups in Yumbe, Kiryandongo, Adjumani, aabong in Uganda.

KEY ACTIVITIES IN YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE:

• To design, develop Action Against Hunger Nutrition and heealth strategy specific to the mission.
• To develop and launch programs in collaboration with governmental and local agencies.
• To represent Action Against Hunger in meetings with the health authorities and other agencies and participate in national networks on nutrition.
• To Supervise and support nutritional and medical teams.
• Support proper and adequate resource management: HR, Finance, and assets.

REQUIREMENTS

DO YOU MEET THE PROFILE REQUIRED CRITERIA ?

You’re a seasoned Nutrition professional

• You Master’s degree in Human Nutrition, Public Health, Medical Sciences or Social Sciences.
• You have at least 5 years experience of nutrition programs at national coordination level and experience with capacity building of health systems in developing contexts.
• You are able to translate analysis and evaluation into operational planning and strategy.

You’re a super communicator

• You are able to adjust your own style to represent Action Against Hunger appropriately with a range of national counterparts, as well as colleagues from other cultures & professions.
• You have good team management and representation competencies.

You’re passionate to develop Nutrition interventions

• You have significant experience with INGOs in recovery and complex emergencies. Previous experience with partnerships and alliances is an asset.
• You have experience with nutrition and coverage surveys, and rapid nutrition assessments.
• You are disciplined and able to work and arrive at decisions autonomously and with minimal guidance. Advanced knowledge of donors’ guidelines and procedures (ECHO, UNICEF, OCHA, CIDA, EU, DFID, USAID, etc.)
