Chemonics seeks technical experts for the anticipated USAID Financing Agriculture and Rural Markets (FARM) project in Uganda. The project will likely be based in Kampala and may include regional office locations. Ugandan candidates are encouraged to apply. We seek individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

We seek specialists in the following technical areas:

  • Financial systems regulation
  • Agricultural and rural finance, particularly insurance and alternative credit scoring
  • Access to finance, particularly small and medium enterprise financing and credit guarantees
  • Agriculture finance policy
  • Agricultural business development services
  • Information communications technology for agriculture
  • Digital financial services, including mobile money and agent networks
  • Public-private partnerships
  • Financial inclusion for women and youth

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum five years of demonstrated relevant experience
  • Knowledge and experience in the Ugandan agriculture sector
  • Outstanding leadership, management, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to conceptualize and lead technical tasks
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
  • Fluency in English required
